Zayed

His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan is my idol and topic for this post, but I cannot write anything about him, as I believe that nothing can be proper, suitable or even fair to him. Therefore, I will just share with you some of his precious quotes and videos because I think these can deliver the feelings and meanings in a better way than me writing about him. The only thing that I want to say is that UAE has lost a leader and a father, and I believe his position in the heart of UAE’s people will never ever be changed or replaced by someone else. May God rests his soul in peace.  الله يرحمه و يغفر له و يجعل مثواه الجنة

These are 11 quotes of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan:

Arab oil can never be dearer than Arab blood.
The Ruler should not have any barrier that separates him from his people.
History is a continuous chain of events. The present is only an extension of the past.
We should preserve our traditions and national heritage. We should stick to our roots and our Arabic and Islamic traditions.

Women constitute half of any society in the world. As housewives, women are the educators of future generations. Any nation aspiring to build an advanced society should not leave women in the grip of ignorance and oppression. Women should be educated and liberated in order to participate in the development of their society.
A country's only true resource is its youth.
He who does not know his past cannot make the best of his present and future, for it is from the past that we learn.
Islam affords women their rightful status, and encourages them to work in all sectors, as long as they are afforded appropriate respect.

Our system of government is based on our religion, and is what our people want. Should they seek alternatives, we are ready to listen to them. We are all in the same boat, and they are both captain and crew.
Situations change from time to time. A friend may become an enemy and an enemy a friend. Life is inconsistent and ever changing. So are health and weather. We must therefore be prepared for the unexpected changes coming our way.
The real asset of any advanced nation is its people, especially the educated ones, and the prosperity and success of the people are measured by the standard of their education.
Here are the videos, I always watch the first video and from the first few seconds I start to cry.
